Viva Pair - Find Out How it Works

VivaPair is designed to help anaesthetic and medical trainees prepare for their viva exams through structured peer-to-peer study sessions. Our platform simplifies the process of finding a study partner, scheduling practice sessions, and ensuring a smooth and effective preparation experience.

Step 1: Register & Create Your Account

To get started, sign up on our platform by creating an account. You will need to provide some basic details, including your name, email, and a password.

Step 2: Join a Session

Once registered, you will be required to pay a one-time fee, which grants you access to one full study round. Each round lasts 40 days leading up to your exam. You can find available exam session in the Calendar page in the main top menu.

Step 3: Matching Process Begins

When the study round starts (40 days before the exam), we will randomly match you with different study partners. You will be able to see a list of practice sessions which we created for you based on the times availability that you provided.

Step 4: Tell Us Your Availability

We will offer you a page where you'll be expected to tell us about your availability. Based on the times you will be providing, we will be pairing you with available peers.

Step 5: Start Practicing

Once we start the practice sessions, you will be provided with a private Zoom meeting link for your practice session between you and your peer. We aim to provide at least 30 practice sessions per person, but depending on the number of candidates joining, the number of practice sessions can vary.
